FAYETTE COUNTY TECHNICAL RESCUE TEAM PARTICIPATES IN MULTI-AGENCY SAR EXERCISE

SAR Group PicThe Fayette County Technical Rescue Team recently participated in a multi-agency Search and Rescue Exercise in DeSoto County, Mississippi. The Exercise, sponsored by the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit, was a way for numerous mid-south emergency response agencies to train together and be better prepared for large scale events. Some of the participating agencies were the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Memphis Police Department, several K-9 Units, and more.

The FCTRT is a Regional Rescue Squad that provides volunteer services not only in Fayette County but all over West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and East Arkansas. It is the only private and sanctioned volunteer Rescue Squad in the mid-south that is solely dedicated to technical rescue and is the only Active Unit Member of the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads in Fayette County.
