The Fayette County Technical Rescue Team continues to expand and grow and is pleased to announce the addition of a new Water Rescue Truck as well as adding Landers Auto Group as the Team’s Official Vehicle Sponsor.  The truck will be placed in service in the immediate future and will allow the Team to continue to enhance and improve their water rescue operations which includes swiftwater, floodwater, ice/coldwater, as well as dive rescue and recovery.

“We are very thankful to have this truck donated to our Team by a fellow member of the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads, namely the Morristown Rescue Squad,” said Commander Kevin Snider.  “In addition, having Landers Auto Group provide our Team a very generous donation to become our Team’s official vehicle sponsor allowed us to completely update and retrofit the truck to our Team’s specifications for water rescue operations,” said Snider.  “It is truly an honor to have Landers Auto Group as a new sponsor in supporting our all volunteer Regional Rescue Squad,” said Snider.

The FCTRT is a Regional Rescue Squad that provides volunteer services not only in Fayette County but all over West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and East Arkansas.  It is the only private and sanctioned volunteer Rescue Squad in the mid-south that is solely dedicated to technical rescue and is the only Active Unit Member of the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads in Fayette County.

The Fayette County Technical Rescue Team is not a government entity and therefore does not receive any federal, state, county, or municipal government funding so that it can be available to respond anytime to virtually anywhere it may be called without any cost to the taxpayers. The volunteer Team is solely funded through the generosity of mid-south agencies and foundations; businesses and corporations; current and former elected officials; notable and community leaders; as well as residents from Fayette County and all across the mid-south. More importantly, all contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law since the Team is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
