Why was the Fayette County Technical Rescue Team Created?
The FCTRT was created to provide free technical rescue capabilities and assistance to our response area by experienced volunteers who continually train for these types of unique and unusual situations.
Services We Provide
The Fayette County Technical Rescue Team Can:
- Provide a response to (13) types of technical rescue incidents.
- Provide introductory training classes for local emergency response agencies.
- Provide additional personnel for all major incidents.
- Provide emergency training for citizens.
- Provide and assist in community outreach programs.
For all emergencies please call 911 as all requests for a FCTRT response must be from the on scene incident commander of the authority having jurisdiction.
Technical rescue and emergency response are inherently dangerous activities requiring proper training and the appropriate equipment as well as the use of extreme caution at all times. Do not attempt to duplicate the activities performed by the FCTRT and/or depicted herein. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.
